Released in 1989, "AMERICAN ANGELS"may not win any film awards, but it was at least a respectable attempt to blend both behind-the-scenes training with fan perception of these sexy gladiators of the ring. Our star is Luscious Lisa, and we find wrestling is in her blood, having a grandfather who was a pro wrestler until he killed an opponent in the ring. Watching this film isn't about being thrilled by the plot, but rather a chance to see a lot of well known faces (and much appreciated bodies!) from the world of women's wrestling.
While Jan MacKenzie "stars" as Lisa, the real star of the movie is the oh-so-delicious Mimi Lessos as Magnificent Mimi. Also look for Sue Sexton, Black Venus and Trudy Adams (aka Brandi Mae of P.O.W.W. and The Farmer's Daughter of G.L.O.W. who continued wrestling for a few years after the demise of G.L.O.W. and P.O.W.W.)
About 99 Minutes
Written and Directed by Ferd and Beverly Sebastian
Rated "R" probably for brief nudity
